DO IT
YOURSELF

Here you will find step by step how we did our project for you to do it by yourself.

MATERIAL

Here you have a list and the sites to buy each component:

TOOLS

ELECTRONICS

Hereafter you have the electronic scheme of the power glove and an explanation of it to understand how is it connected and how does it work.

ASSEMBLING

In order to assemble the electronic circuit, follow the steps shown below:

  • Pick an empty protoboard and cut it until it has Arduino Nano’s size. Weld the resistors and the pins of the Arduino to the PCB like the following scheme. Don’t forget to leave enough space between the proto and the Arduino board.

  • Weld a row of pins perpendicular to the previously welded board. Also weld the wires, with its hot melt, and apply enough heat to seal and protect the connections. After this, introduce the final PCB to the Arduino’s structure case, close it and thread it with four M2 screws.

  • Apply contact glue to the bend sensors and, after a minute, paste them in the fingers of the glove. Secure the joints with another piece of glove.

  • Pass the A1-A2-A3 pins, three ground pins and the pins of the MPU sensor through the rectangular hole given by the structure case of the sensor, weld the pins to its respective bend sensor and the MPU pins, and then apply contact glue to the structure, in order to paste it in the middle of the hand.

  • Weld the rest of the wires to its respective pin, and finally attach the PCB pack to the base of the glove. Finally, wear the power glove and make sure that the wire length is appropriate enough to close the hand properly.

STRUCTURE CASES DESIGNS

To do the designs we used PTC CREO, you can download it on the following link; you will need to create an account and a license code to use it.

Below you have the link to download the designs made by us of the ARDUINO NANO structure case and its lid and to download the MPU structure case and its corresponding lid too.

PROGRAMMING

Both programs are totally necessary for the

use of our power glove.
